Two Students Wounded In Shooting At Feather River School Of Seventh


Two students were wounded in a shooting at Feather River School of Seventh in Blairsden, Calif., on Tuesday morning, according to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred at around 8:00 a.m. in a classroom of the school located on 23300 Cedar Road, Blairsden, CA 96103. The school serves students from kindergarten through 8th grade.

The two students who were shot were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the students, a 13-year-old boy, was shot in the arm. The other student, a 14-year-old girl, was shot in the leg.

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office said that a 14-year-old male student has been apprehended in connection with the shooting.

The suspect is being held at the Plumas County Juvenile Hall on charges of attempted murder.

The school was placed on lockdown after the shooting, but the lockdown has since been lifted.

Students and staff are being released from the school and are being reunited with their families.
